The story below is an account of a frustrated boyfriend. The original poster (OP) had gone on vacation with his girlfriend's family.  Since OP has flat feet, he made sure to get himself custom-fit orthotics before the trip to make sure he could fully enjoy himself. The orthotics were initially useful, but in the end, OP felt that he just needed some rest. His future mother-in-law said yes when he asked whether she could keep an eye on his belongings. However, things quickly turned terrible when the sun dawned and his belongings were nowhere to be seen.
